Michael Scott
Forest analyst, Working Forest Fund

Prior to working for the Fund, Michael served for two and half years with the Peace Corps in Tanzania, East Africa as a high school biology and chemistry teacher. He has also worked for the National Park Service, Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute, and The Great Basin Institute researching long term forest dynamics. His passion for forests is deep rooted from growing up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in western North Carolina. Michael earned a BS of Biology from Wake Forest University, and a Master of Forestry and a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment.
