Chris Little
Alaska State Associate, Conservation Acquisition
Chris is the Fund’s Alaska Associate for Conservation Acquisition. Joining the Fund’s staff in 2013, Chris has in-depth understanding and experience with conservation real estate transactions and financing. He has led successful collaborative conservation projects with Alaska Native corporations, private individuals, public agencies, and non-profit partners throughout Alaska. With extensive experience in wetland mitigation, grant writing, and private fundraising, Chris is skilled at securing funding for various types of land conservation projects.
Prior to coming to Alaska, he worked as a preserve manager for The Nature Conservancy in east Idaho, wildlife biologist on the California Channel Islands, and forester for the California State Parks in Lake Tahoe.
Chris has a B.A. in environmental science and anthropology from Saint Lawrence University and a M.S. in Recreation Resource Management from Oregon State's College of Forestry.
