Tennessee State Director, Conservation Acquisition


Ralph KnollRalph has been with The Conservation Fund since 2006 and is responsible for leading land conservation work in Tennessee.  His experience includes projects involving the protection of the Appalachian Trail in the Cherokee National Forest  and the protection of 600 acres along the Stones and Cumberland Rivers in Nashville. He has worked extensively with the U.S. Forest Service, state agencies, and the City of Nashville.

Previously, Ralph spent 28 years working for the Maine Department of Conservation. Prior to retiring as Deputy Director of the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands, he oversaw the state's land conservation efforts, including a project that resulted in the protection 329,000 acres in northwest Maine.

Ralph holds an M.P.A. and a B.S. in Forest Management from the University of Maine.
