Justin Boner
North Carolina Director, Conservation Acquisition
Justin joined the Fund in 2006 as the Ecotourism Programs Coordinator for the Palmetto-Peartree Preserve in Tyrrell County, NC. He has assisted a wide range of partners from helping the North Carolina Forest Service protect the largest privately owned tract in western North Carolina to working with Catawba County to provide better access and security to Bunker Hill Covered Bridge.
Prior to joining the Fund, Justin worked with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission to advance the Wildlife Division’s efforts to monitor and control the spread of chronic wasting disease in deer and elk.
Justin and his wife, with occasional help from their three children, are lovingly restoring one of the oldest homes in Raleigh, NC. This experience has given Justin a unique perspective on the connection between people and place. Justin holds a B.S. in Biology from Davidson College, and he also serves as Secretary for the North Carolina Paddle Trails Association.
