Val Keefer

Media Relations Manager

As media relations manager, Val helps tell the Fund’s many inspiring stories across various news and media platforms. She conducts media outreach, drives press activities and supports storytelling for organizational activities in the West, Southwest, and Southeast regions. Val enjoys sharing the Fund’s wholistic approach to environmental conservation and economic growth, especially as it benefits both local and global communities.

Prior to joining the Fund in 2019, Val worked at a national PR firm in Washington, DC. She also supported other nonprofits including the Accokeek Foundation and the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Val loves anything involving the outdoors and nature, mostly hiking with her dog.
