Ann Simonelli

Media Relations Director

Ann joined the Fund in 2010 and is the Media Relations Director, overseeing the organization’s strategy, messaging and outreach to news media. A nature enthusiast, Ann coordinates media outreach campaigns that promote the environmental and economic outcomes achieved by the organization’s programs and projects, often working in collaboration with federal, state, local, nongovernmental and corporate partners. Ann enjoys communicating the local benefit of the Fund’s many projects, working to connect communities with the natural assets of treasured outdoor landscapes and working lands. 

Prior to joining the Fund, Ann worked on the National Geographic Society’s Communications team, where she managed nationwide publicity for the National Geographic Bee, coordinated international scientific news announcements and assisted promotional efforts for stories in the National Geographic magazine. Ann earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from Susquehanna University.
