Forest Operations Manager, Working Forest Fund


Brian SchneiderBased in Bangor, ME, Brian is the Forest Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing forest management planning, timber harvesting, recreational lease administration and forest certification efforts for Working Forest Fund properties in the northern US.

Brian began his career as a Field Forester with Fountains Forestry in Vermont and subsequently worked for the Virginia Department of Forestry and North Carolina Forest Service. He was Lead Instructor of Forest Management Technology at Haywood Community College, and owner of Taconic Natural Resources, a forestry consulting company based in western North Carolina. Most recently Brian was employed by the James Sewall Company of Old Town, ME where he provided analytical support for timberland valuation as well as for acquisition and disposition due diligence projects.

Brian holds a B.S in Forestry from the University of Vermont and an M.S. in Forestry from the University of Maine. He is currently a Licensed Professional Forester in Maine and a Registered Forester in North Carolina.
