Abhinav Choudhury
Environmental REsearch Engineer, Freshwater INstitute
Abhinav Choudhury is an Environmental Research Engineer at the Freshwater Institute. He is responsible for research on investigation of strategies for improving the environmental impact and economic viability of intensive land-based aquaculture production, providing waste management and waste conversion expertise for external projects, and assisting industry partners with problems related to waste management and waste conversion. He is experienced in waste-to-energy technologies, specifically in the area of anaerobic digestion, and life cycle impact assessment for evaluating the environmental impacts of these technologies. He has a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from University of Maryland, College Park, a Master's degree in Environment and Sustainable Technology from The University of Manchester, UK, and Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from BITS Pilani, India. He joined the Freshwater Institute in January 2020.
