Paul Hurt

Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary

As deputy general counsel, Paul utilizes his federal taxation, real estate, commercial lending and capital markets expertise to represent the Fund in real estate and other transactions. He also serves as primary counsel to the Working Forest Fund and to Natural Capital Investment Fund, The Conservation Fund’s business lending affiliate.

Prior to joining The Conservation Fund in 2001, Paul was in private practice and worked for The Nature Conservancy and a bank holding company. 

Paul has a J.D. from the University of Virginia and an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida.  He is admitted to the Virginia, D.C. and Colorado bars.
