Tyler Carter, GulfLive.com – Land has been secured in Jackson County after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, the largest marine oil spill in U.S. history caused significant damage to the ecosystem along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. According to The Conservation Fund, the project will expand the permanent protection of critical ecosystems along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, helping to partially restore injuries caused by the oil spill.
