September 7, 2016 was the first day for Dell Technologies, the parent company of a strategically-aligned family of businesses that came together following the largest tech merger in U.S. history. Dell has long been a part of The Conservation Fund’s Business Partnerships program, so we were excited when they asked the Fund and World Wildlife Fund to help all of their employees mark their first day together in a way that would make a lasting contribution.


We are working with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to restore lands across the South Texas Refuge Complex important to hundreds of species of birds and the endangered ocelot.  The Rio Grande Valley is also home to the 50 or so ocelot remaining in the U.S.

This fall, each employee – all 140,000 of them – has the opportunity to plant a tree in one of five locations around the world. Each project provides important benefits for our climate, water, and wildlife, including The Conservation Fund’s restoration project in Texas’ Lower Rio Grande Valley  where we are planting trees to re-establish habitat for the endangered ocelot.  We’re working with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to plant trees across the Chesapeake Bay as well.
