Seven years ago, when we first learned about Giving Tuesday, we weren’t sure what to expect. We already have Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. But a dedicated day to giving back? It sounded like an exciting way to present charitable giving in a season of robust consumerism.
The Giving Tuesday movement has grown tremendously since 2012, and so have Giving Tuesday donations to The Conservation Fund—we raised $3,000 our first year and we remain very grateful to generous donors who contributed over $70,000 last year.
