Protecting valuable habitat that surrounds military installations, like Camp Williams, a National Guard training site located approximately 25 miles south of Salt Lake City, Utah, is vital to both our national security and the species that need these buffer lands to survive.
This short video, filmed from the window of a Blackhawk helicopter, will show you how development is quickly encroaching upon this camp. But if we act now—and work with federal, state, and local agencies, nonprofits, businesses and landowners—we can preserve open spaces and increase wildlife habitat surrounding the training site. The West Traverse Community Partnership (WTCP) is a coalition working with a variety of partners to do just that, and The Conservation Fund is proud to support this effort.
